Bratton Farmhouse dates back to the 1600s and is set in a quiet Somerset valley with lovely views across to Alfred’s Tower on the Stourhead Estate.
It is the oldest building in the area and was built from stone quarried by hand on site. All rooms look out onto fields with a small flock of Jacobs’ sheep.

For breakfast, we serve eggs from our own Maran and Welsummer hens, freshly baked bread and the best local and organic produce we can find.
There is porridge, bircher muesli, fresh fruit and just squeezed orange juice.

Then it’s the full English, kippers, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, or blueberry pancakes.

Tea, filter coffee or caffe latte from the espresso machine. The choice is yours.

We’ll cook dinner for you as well, given a bit of notice, or make a reservation at one of the many nearby pubs and restaurants.

Vegans and vegetarians happily catered for.

“I have stayed at Bratton Farmhouse many times and hope to do so again and again.” The late George Melly - Jazz singer and art critic, May 2006. "

Equine accommodation: Bratton Farmhouse also includes a full size stable, lock up tackroom and a three acre field.
